Happy Tuesday!! Hope your week is off to a good start and that you are looking forward to a three day weekend!! It's hard to believe the official start of summer is just a few days away. I LOVE it!!
But besides the family, fun and picnics, Memorial Day is about remembering those who have lost their lives serving and protecting us. I love this layout, featuring a soldier and his son. The title is perfect!
I love how this line works so well for Memorial Day and Memorial Day services. The line is Party In the USA. So very patriotic!
The base of this layout is cardstock.
Then I trimmed a piece of Party in the USA into two 3 1/2 x 10 pieces and a piece of American Stripe into one 3 1/2 x 10 piece and adhered them in the middle of the page, star side up instead of the stripe!!
Next I added a 4 x 10 piece of What a Blast, horizontally across the bottom edge of the page, about two inches up.
The 5 x 7 pictures, which was matted with navy cardstock, was added middle left on the page.
I cut a strip of stars from Party in the USA (star side) from an accu-cut die and adhered them horizontally across the picture.
The title is a sticker from the Party in the USA Quote 12 x 12 sticker. I took the sticker, Freedom Lies in being Bold and cut it from the sticker sheet. Then I trimmed around the pattern and added it to the layout with pop dots.
To finish off the layout, I added a "bunting" to the top of the page. I used the leftover pieces from the main papers and cut them with a banner die. But you could make one just with a circle punch-punch the circles and then cut them in half.
I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, full of family and fun!
